This Lentil Tacos recipe is adapted from It Doesn’t Taste Like Chicken!

These lentil tacos take under 30 minutes to make and they are delicious!
This recipe is quick, easy, and satisfying. Lentil tacos never tasted so good! You’re definitely going to want to give them a try.

Lentil Tacos

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 red onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups vegetable broth
1 cup lentils (I prefer French)

For the avocado cilantro sauce:

1 bunch cilantro
1 avocado
1/2 cup water
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon agave
1/4 teaspoon salt

For the tacos:

8 flour or corn tortillas
2 mangoes, chopped
2 tomatoes, sliced
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced


Cook the lentils:

Heat up olive oil on medium heat and then add the onion and garlic and sauté.  Once sauteed, add in the herbs, vegetable broth and lentils. Bring this mixture to a simmer until the lentils are soft.

To make the avocado cilantro sauce:

Add all of the sauce ingredients to a food processor or blender, and blend until your sauce is smooth.

And that’s it! Now you have some delicious lentil tacos! Pretty simple right? And wait until you try them! So delicious.
